Family Service League

Family Service League generally provides resource around mental health and substance use. Also has food banks that are operating during COVID. Locations in various parts of Suffolk County. DASH is hotline that can point people towards specific resources #631-952-3333. Also CCAT Program is offering free mental health support to first responders #888-375-2228.

Pride for Youth/Long Island Crisis Center

PFY is a service and an advocate for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer/questioning (LGBTQ) young people through age 45. Our mission is to enhance the health, wellness and cultural competency of LGBTQ young people through education, support services and youth development. We serve New York State’s Nassau, Suffolk and Queens counties. Due to COVID-19, we have shifted all our services virtually. As always, all services remain free and confidential to those who are in need.

Commonpoint Queens

Commonpoint Queens is a social services organization that meets the diverse and evolving needs in the borough of Queens and nearby communities —a place where people of all ages and backgrounds come together to find support, access opportunities, and build connections to the community throughout their lives.

Four Directions

Four Directions is collaborating with a wide range of groups to provide culturally competent mutual-aid that supports Indigenous communities on Paumanauke Long Island, NY and surrounding areas during the COVID-19 pandemic

Community Solidarity

Providing groceries, fresh produce and warm vegan meals to low-income communities. All the food we distribute is completely vegetarian and mostly organic. We collect clothing, books, toiletries, and toys for redistribution as well. We organize guerrilla gardening programs that range from blanketing neighborhoods with sunflowers to providing families with peach trees.
