Suffolk County residents can now get free testing for COVID-19 at Stony Brook University at a drive-thru coronavirus testing facility that opened yesterday. The mobile testing site has six lanes to accommodate up to 1,000 tests per day. It will be open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Appointments are required. The way the schools put out the info it would only apply for healthcare and first responders, but it is for anyone deemed essential by the governor and includes grocery workers and food workers. At these Food Shares, anyone in need can get most (if not all) of their weekly groceries. Each Food Share is a free supermarket where community members share instead of pay for what they need.
